VIBES PRIVACY Policy Our Privacy commitments This Privacy Policy outlines the information we may collect about you in relation to your use of our websites, events, related publications and services (“personal data”) and how we may use that personal data. It also outlines the methods by which we and our service providers may (subject to necessary consents) monitor your online behavior to deliver customized advertisements, marketing materials and other tailored services. This Privacy Policy applies to all websites operated by Vibes App (as indicated on the relevant website). This privacy statement extends to and covers the activities of third parties on the Vibe App and in affiliation with or actions carried out in the course of using or accessing data and other information on the Vibes App.

Established in 2022 and with Registered office in the United States and in Nigeria to cover the African market. Vibes App is the world’s Class Social Media and Interpersonal Networking Application/Website developed using the State of the Art ICT Technologies and services to effectively bring different people of legal adult age together in a safe and verified space to interact, date and have business, casual or other relations in the process.

Data Protection Policy
This Data Protection Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure. Why do we collect information from you? Our primary goal in collecting personal data from you is to give you an enjoyable customized experience whilst allowing us to provide services and features that will meet your needs. We collect certain personal data from you, which you give to us while using our App/Site and/or registering or subscribing for our products and services. However, we also give you the option to access our Sites’ home pages without subscribing or registering or disclosing your personal data. We also collect certain personal data from other sources where such are disclosed to our App or linked up by the User/Data Subject. In the course of processing your Data, we will not disclose your data to any other website or App without your consent first sought and obtained. Information collected when A User uses the Vibes App services:
Device information: Information from and about the devices used to access the Vibes App services, including hardware and software information as we as IP address, device ID, type, apps settings or customization, app crashes, advertising IDs and other data associated with cookies or other applicable technologies that may naturally identify the unique particulars and characteristics of a device or browser.
Usage Information: In the course of using the Vibes App services, data is generated naturally about User’s activity on the App services and the User’s interactions with other members whom the User may have connect and interact with whilst using the App. Vibes App obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about products and services, when you register for an event, register to receive eNewsletters, subscribe or register for a trial to our Vibes App magazine/website.

Transfer personal information/Sensitive Data protected under the GDPR, UKDPR, the American legislation on Data Protection and other relevant laws outside of the Council of Europe, the United Kingdom, Switzerland,Nigeria and other countries which data protection laws have been deemed adequate by the European Commission or other competent governmental body, we use standard contract clauses (standard contractual clauses are commitments between companies transferring personal data, binding them to protect the privacy and security of your data) or other appropriate transfer mechanism.
Your Rights as a User and Data Subject: We want you to be in control of your information, so we want to remind you of the following options and tools available to you:
Access and Update tools in the service: Tools and account settings can help you access, rectify or remove information that you provided to us and that’s associated with your account directly within the service
Device permissions. The workability of the Vibes App Privacy setting is subject to the permission granted by the User on the Users device upon signing up with Vibes App. Mobile platforms possess a permission systems section for specific types of device data and notifications, such as phone contacts, pictures, location services, push notifications and advertising identifiers. User may make changes to its device Permission settings to reflect consent or otherwise to Vibes on the collection or processing of the corresponding information or the display of the corresponding notifications. Of course, if you do that, certain services may lose functionality.
Uninstall. User may halt all information collection by Vibes by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process for your device. Remember that uninstalling an app does NOT close your account. To close your account, please click on the dialogue box on the service.
Account closure. You can close your account by clicking on the necessary dialogue box on the App. User may use the Self services or check out the FAQs to get clarity where necessary
User may equally review information, including persona data, initial submitted in the event that certain changes have occurred. Continuous Updates User information is equally encouraged In the event that the information submitted by the User is inchoate or inconclusive, the User is encourage to update such information in order to enjoy the full functionalities of the App.
User Verification is equally required for an Account to be properly and effectively create on Vibes. This can equally be found in the Terms of Use. It is essential for the protection of all users as well as other members, thus, proof of identity may be required for such verification as at when required.
How Long Can Vibes App Retain Your Information: Personal Information are only kept for as long as it is necessary and needed for legitimate business purposes and as permitted by applicable law. If you decide to stop using our services, you can close your account and your profile will stop being visible to other members. Note that Vibes may close your account automatically if you are inactive for a period of Thirty Months. To protect the safety and security of our members, we implement a safety retention window of three months following account closure, or one year following an account ban. During this period, we keep your information in the event that it might be necessary to investigate unlawful or harmful conducts. The retention of information during this safety retention window is based on our legitimate interest as well as that of potential third-party victims. Finally, we maintain information on the basis of our legitimate interest where there is an outstanding or potential issue, claim or dispute requiring us to keep information (in particular if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request asking us to preserve data (in which case we would need to keep the data to comply with our legal obligations) or if data would otherwise be necessary as part of legal proceedings).
Children’s Privacy Protection: This Platform is for Adults and persons who are of sound minds and capable of forming the intention both physically and mentally to enter into any form of contract legally. As a result, Vibes has restricted access to its services to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted on the Vibes Platform. If you suspect that a member is under the age of 18, please kindy report such underage user immediately.
Types of Personal Data Held and its Use
1. Special Category Sensitive Information
The GDPR and other international legislation tailored after Article 8 of the ECHR which also extends to other local legislation by Member States under the Council of Europe and other bodies such as the UKDP Act and its Nigerian counterpart. Article 9 of the GDPR categories certain personal data as sensitive and special and prohibits the processing of same except as permitted or consented to by the Data Subjects by an unequivocal and clearly communicated consent. This Privacy Policy complies strictly with these legal standards in dealing with all sensitive and special category personal data as defined in Article 9 of the GDPR and safeguards the data subjects in dealing with such data within the ambit of the law.

7. E-mail tracking
E-mail tracking is a method for monitoring the e-mail delivery to those subscribers who have opted-in to receive marketing e-mails from Vibedomain.com, spanning across Africa, Asia, Americas, Europe, and Third party engagements, e-mails and other Vibe activities.
Why do we track e-mails?
So that we can better understand our users’ needs, we track responses, subscription behaviour and engagement to our e-mails – for example, to see which links are the most popular in newsletters. They enable us to understand the consumers journey through metrics including open rate, click-through rate, bounces and unsubscribes. Any other purposes for which Vibe wishes to use your personal data will be notified to you and your personal data will not be used for any such purpose without obtaining your prior consent.
How do you track Vibe eNewsletters?
To do this, we use pixel GIFs, also known as “pixel tags” – these are small image files that are placed within the body of our e-mail messages. When that image is downloaded from our web servers, the e-mail is recorded as being opened. By using some form of digitally time-stamped record to reveal the exact time and date that an e-mail was received or opened, as well the IP address of the recipient.

Some of our Sites may have a message board, blogs or other facilities for user generated content available and users can participate in these facilities. 11. Data outside the Nigerian Jurisdictional Framework
Services on the Internet are accessible globally so collection and transmission of personal data is not always limited to one country. Vibe may process your personal data, for the above-listed purposes to other third parties subscribers or users of the vibe App or the Vibedomain.com website, having obtained the requisite consent to so do in the preliminary points of subscribing to the website or App which may be located outside the Nigerian Jurisdictional Framework and/or with a different level of personal data protection with particular focus on the laws and regulations already taken cognizance of and acknowledged as enforceable herein in the course of this Policy implementation. It is hereby provided for the avoidance of doubt that the Vibes App Team shall not be held responsible for any video, audio or other data leak of End Users on the Vibes App or from the Vibes App to other similar or allied Apps. End Users are provided with sufficient security on the Vibes App but where such security measures are eroded by reason of acts of the End User there leading to the leaking out of private, personal and sensitive data and other such forms of Data into other accounts or other Apps or Social Platforms or Internet Platforms, the End User shall bear full responsibility of such leakages or data compromise and shall hold Vibes App blameless on such issues forthwith. Deep fake Content The Vibes Team has advised and recommended that content created within the Vibes Community be held and kept discreetly within the Vibes App and online Platform as the case may be. To this end, the following is hereby established hereunder as a matter of course: The Vibes App or online Platform shall not be responsible for any digital manipulations or other form of falsification of persons data subject to various data Protection laws regime across several jurisdictions where such use or sharing outside the platform or sharing for other parties within the Platform for profit would or at a cost or in the course of a business transaction, exposes such materials, digital contents, videos and other persona data to Artificial intelligence falsification, amendments, recreations and possible digital augmentation, in order to replace the person of a particular end user thereby compromise the persona of the said user by reason of such actions with intent to mislead, deceive and misdirect other Vibes App users and other internet users generally is and shall always remain the responsibility of such end User who had made room for such exposure. All End Users are advised to secure within the protective walls of thee Vibes App all their Content and where such contents are share in Usable form outside the wall of the Vibes App, such uses,sharing or further disposal or use shall be and remain the responsibility of of the respective End User from time to time. The Vibes App is hereby held blameless of any and all issues arising from deep fake issues in any form or manifestation.

The Vibes Team has advised and recommended that content created within the Vibes Community be held and kept discreetly within the Vibes App and online Platform as the case may be. To this end, the following is hereby established hereunder as a matter of course:

All End Users are advised to secure within the protective walls of the Vibes App all their Content and where such contents are shared in Usable form outside the wall of the Vibes App, such uses, sharing, or further disposal or use shall be and remain the responsibility of the respective End User from time to time. The Vibes App is hereby held blameless of any and all issues arising from deep fake issues in any form or manifestation.

he Data Controller is Vibe App or Vibedomain.com. Vibe is subject to the Nigerian Constitution and the Laws of the Federation of Nigeria and is registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
How to access, update and erase your personal information
